Lenape High School -
Head Coaches
There had only been 3 head wrestling coaches in the 30
plus years of storied history at Lenape
High School. These 3 coaches have combined for a record of 530 - 148 - 14
(through 2/19/2004), an incredible 78 % won/lost percentage.
This summer, Lenape HS welcomed Chris Heilig as it 4th head coach to take the
reins from the retiring Russ Minuto. Coach Heilig comes to us from
Moorestown High School after a 10 year tenure as head coach. We welcome
Chris to the Lenape family and wish him the all the best in continuing the
success of our program.

- Hank Schnepf

Coach Schnepf started things off for the Indians Wrestling team
in 1961, and coached the team until the end of the 1969 - 1970 season.

- Sam Evangelista

Coach Evangelista continued the fine work of Hank Schnepf,
coaching the team from 1971 through to the end of the 1982 -1983.

- Russ Minuto

Coach Minuto improved on the established tradition, taking the
reins in 1983, leading the Indians to a District 27 title in 2003 - 2004 season,
his last season at the helm.
